Playa Ventanas is only a short 10 minute drive from The Village of San Buenas and is the best family beach in the Osa region of Costa Rica, and one of the nicest beaches in Costa Rica. It is perfect for families, snorkeling, sea kayaking, tanning and nature watching. Two types of monkeys can be seen in the jungle next to the beach as well as large rock formations and incredible sunsets. For more pictures click here (have it go to the photo album). Playa Ventanas is Spanish for "window beach" (ventana is Spanish for window). You will see in the photos that there are two natural "windows" cut into the rocks. More photos of Playa Ventanas
Several types of monkeys can be seen in the trees near Playa Ventanas. If you are lucky you will see them during your visit.
